Sponsor Residency

Sponsor must hold a valid Dubai residence visa.

Minimum Salary

Minimum salary of AED 6,000/month, or AED 5,000/month with employer-provided accommodation.

Marital Status

Bachelors are not eligible to sponsor domestic workers. Sponsor must be married or have dependents.

Worker Nationality

Worker must be from an approved country of origin, including India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

Process Timeline

    Eligibility check & document preparation

    Verify sponsor eligibility (salary, accommodation, marital status) and gather all required documents from both sponsor and worker.

    Entry permit application

    Submit the entry permit application to GDRFA. Once approved, the worker can enter the UAE on the entry permit.

    Medical fitness test & Emirates ID

    The worker completes a medical fitness test at a GDRFA-approved centre and applies for Emirates ID through ICP.

    5–7 business days

  4. 4

    Visa stamping & contract registration

    Residence visa is stamped in the worker's passport and the employment contract is registered with MOHRE. The worker is now legally employed in your household.
