Frequently Asked Questions

What is a MOHRE offer letter?

A MOHRE offer letter is the official employment offer printed through the Tasheel system. It specifies the job title, salary, and working conditions. Both employer and employee must sign it before proceeding to the work permit.

Can I change the offer letter after printing?

Yes. A new offer letter can be printed with updated terms if needed. The previous one is cancelled in the system.

What is the fee for printing an offer letter?

The Tasheel printing fee is AED 51.50. Amer MBS service fees apply for typing and processing.

How long is an offer letter valid?

A MOHRE offer letter is valid for 60 days from the date of printing. If the work permit is not applied for within this period, a new offer letter must be issued.

What happens after the offer letter?

After signing the offer letter, the employer submits a work permit application to MOHRE. Once approved, an entry permit is issued (for overseas hires) or status change initiated (for in-country transfers).

Can both employer and employee be present?

The employer or their authorised PRO can submit the offer letter. The employee does not need to be physically present at the typing centre for the offer letter stage.

Can the salary on the offer letter be changed later?

Yes, but a new offer letter must be printed with the updated salary. The old offer letter is cancelled in the Tasheel system. The work permit application must use the same salary as the final offer letter.

What job titles are restricted on offer letters?

Certain professional titles (engineer, doctor, nurse, teacher) require verified qualifications attested by UAE authorities. Some nationalities have quota restrictions for specific titles. Amer MBS checks restrictions before printing to avoid rejections.
