Frequently Asked Questions

What is an e-signature card used for?

The e-signature card allows authorised company representatives to digitally sign Tasheel transactions including work permits, labour cards, and contract changes.

How long is the card valid?

E-signature cards are typically valid for 1 year and must be renewed alongside the company's establishment file.

What is the fee?

The MOHRE e-signature card fee is AED 115. Additional Tasheel service charges apply. Renewal is at the same rate.

Can a company have multiple e-signature cards?

Yes. Companies can issue e-signature cards for multiple authorised representatives. Each card is tied to a specific individual and their Emirates ID.

What happens if I lose the card?

You can apply for a replacement at Amer MBS. Bring your Emirates ID and company trade licence. A new card is typically issued within 1–3 business days.

Is the e-signature card linked to Tasheel?

Yes. The card authenticates you as an authorised signatory in the Tasheel system. Without it, you cannot digitally approve labour transactions on behalf of the company.

What happens if the e-signature card expires?

If the card expires, all pending Tasheel transactions requiring digital signature are blocked. No new work permits, labour cards, or contract amendments can be processed until the card is renewed. Renew at least 2 weeks before expiry to avoid interruption.

Can I transfer an e-signature card to a new company?

No. E-signature cards are tied to a specific company's MOHRE file. If you move to a new company, the old card must be cancelled and a new one issued under the new establishment file. Amer MBS handles both the cancellation and new application.
